Shawn started playing guitar at the age of 13. His father turned him on to jimi Hendrix. His first band was in junior high playing covers of ac/dc and Ted Nugent. By high school, he got into punk being influenced by the sex pistols, black flag and the circle jerks.

He played drums for a punk band "The Cambodian Kids" for about a year but was always on his guitar writing hard fast punk tunes. All the while still listening to Ozzy, Motorhead, Iron Maiden and any cutting edge metal. When The Cambodian Kids opened up for bands like Minor Threat, MDC, the Fuck Ups, Social Unrest, with many shows in the bay area, Fresno and the Central Valley.

Next he helped create the Vicous Bunnyz a skate type sex pistols punk band. Playing with The Faction, Sin 34, and tons of local bands.

Then he created Burnin' Bob and the Big Boys where he played guitar and wrote all the music and about ½ the lyrics. Burnin' Bob and the Big Boys played anywhere and everywhere with bands like DRI, Black Flag, Circle Jerks, Dead Kennedys and tons more.

Next was Erratic Behavior a punk metal crossover band that was hard fast, and technical with about 60 songs. Some times he was known to play two hour sets if needed.

Next was Eyes on You and Sticks and Stones both bands were modern radio rock that fit in with the times. Then Shawn started getting back to the alternative punk stuff with Green Army Men a energetic music with positive lyrics.

Then came The Strikeouts a totally pop punk band that was about chicks chicks and more chicks where Shawn sang and played guitar. When Strikeouts where still together Shawn created Code of Silence with a old member from Cambodian kids and got back to the in your face punk this band also played many shows.

Next was the formation of America's Dirty Thirtys who played all over the bay area with tons of bands and released and indie CD. The second CD was pick up by Yellow Dog records from Berlin.

After taking a break for about a year off doing studio work and recording other bands in his studio he formed The Dead Garden with old drummer from Code of Silence and old friend Dave Askew. Now its Death Alley Motor Cult with Dead Garden members and new bass player.

Shawn's latest project:
"The Dead Garden" where he is the backup vocals & rythm guitarist.
